I am Stephanie Mae, an artist primarily focused on fiber, but also a dabbler of all things mixed media. My latest obsession, surface pattern design! I am a quilter/artist by day, and a craft-brew-drinking-sailor-talking-swashbuckling-sassy-lady by night. I am most inspired by nature, people watching, snarky humor, and color, color, color! I am originally trained in graphic design, and my work often focuses on the basics of good design; contrast, balance and strategic negative spaces. I love my family, my kitties, beer, and tattoos (even if I am too scared to get one!) I’m also still working on learning the ukulele, banjo and guitar (but I need more hours in a day!)
